Remember to believe in yourself
Life has been a bit overwhelming around my house. Nothing too horrible. Just lots of stuff happening at the same time. I am a routine person. It brings me peace and helps me know what to expect. But life is not always routine when you want to open a new business, you get sick, start a side hustle or something as simple and enjoyable as training something new to my dog Loki. I've always been someone who finds solace in routine; it provides a sense of stability and predictability when life becomes chaotic.
Recently, I stumbled upon a quote from Clara Parkes' Beacon account, which always seems to offer poignant insights and uplifting words. I love her short posts they are always heartwarming, and each contain a different beautiful quote. This particular quote by William Arthur Ward struck a chord within me.
“You can trust yourself into greatness, or you can doubt yourself into oblivion. You can trust yourself into excellence, or you can doubt yourself into mediocrity. You can trust yourself into victory, or you can doubt yourself into defeat.” - Willian Arthur Ward
I don’t know if anyone else needed to see this quote. But I certainly did, reading these words was like a light in my uncertainty. Lately, I've been plagued by doubts and worries, which have begun to paralyze me, hindering my progress and stifling my growth. I've always been adept at starting things, but when faced with multiple challenges simultaneously, I've found myself faltering.
But it stops now. It's time to cast aside these doubts, to dust them off like old cobwebs, and forge ahead with unwavering determination and confidence. I realize now that by trusting in God and the abilities he granted me my capacity for growth is limitless. I can overcome any obstacle that stands in my way. With purpose and certainty in my heart, I will tackle each task, knowing that with hard work and perseverance, success will inevitably follow.
So, here's to embracing the journey, to pushing past the doubts, and to trusting in ourselves to achieve greatness. After all, once we commit to doing the work, everything else will fall into place.
